The next couple of days will remain on the mild side across Colorado with an upper-level ridge of high pressure still in control. It turns cooler on Sunday as an upper-level trough moves into the region and then colder by the end of the weekend. It stays mild today, but more unsettled with a good chance of afternoon and evening showers. The weekend will start off a bit cooler, but end up rather mild and there should be some sunshine on both days. Showers and thunderstorms will likely become rather widespread late Monday into Tuesday across the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys and we’ll have to monitor the possibility for some severe weather activity.

A heavy rain event is headed to the Mid-Atlantic region as strong low pressure pushes to a position just off the coast by early Saturday. The rain will develop later tonight and continue through much of Saturday, heavy at times, with two to as much as four inches on the table by tomorrow evening… watch for localized flooding. A very nice day is in store for northern Alabama with plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the lower 70’s. It stays mild on Friday, but become more unsettled with the chance of showers and that shower threat will continue on Friday night. The weekend, however, is shaping up quite nicely with at least some sunshine expected on both days and temperatures to the 60’s on Saturday and near 70 degrees on Sunday.
