7:00 AM | *Overall weather pattern turns hot again this weekend and we could be looking at the mid-to-upper 90's by early next week*

Paul Dorian

A comfortable air mass that pushed into our area earlier this week will stay in place for another couple of days resulting in afternoon highs generally in the mid-to-upper 80’s. High pressure will shift to the east of here late in the week and this repositioning will open the door for hotter air to push in from southwest of here. In fact, temperatures should climb into the low-to-mid 90’s for highs on both weekend days and then perhaps into the middle and upper 90’s by the early part of next week.

7:00 AM | *Stays pretty hot again today with the chance of PM showers and thunderstorms*

Paul Dorian

Unsettled weather will grip the region for the next few days with a daily shot of showers and thunderstorms; primarily, during the afternoon and evening hours. It stays quite warm today with afternoon highs in the low-to-mid 90’s, but the trend in temperatures will be down slightly for the second half of the week with highs generally confined to the 80’s.

6:30 AM | *Another couple of very comfortable days in the Mid-Atlantic region*

Paul Dorian

High pressure to our north will remain in control of the weather in the Mid-Atlantic region for the next few days. The air mass in place is cooler-than-normal for this time of year and quite dry as well with comfortable humidity levels. The high shifts offshore by the weekend and this repositioning will open the door for warmer air to move into the area from the southern states. There continues to be, however, no sustained extreme heat in sight.

7:00 AM | *A taste of fall for the next few days*

Paul Dorian

A cold front crossed the region late yesterday and its passage has ushered into the Mid-Atlantic region a much more comfortable air mass that’ll feature daytime highs in the 70’s during the next few days and overnight lows near 50 degrees. This early taste of fall will be sponsored by Canadian-born strong high pressure that will be stationed over the northeastern part of the nation during the remainder of the work week.
