A weak cool front is passing through the region and it’ll have little impact on overall temperatures. In fact, with the help of some sunshine today, and plenty of sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures should climb to well up into the 70’s each day. Low pressure will impact the area from late Friday into Saturday with occasional showers likely and then Canadian high pressure takes over for the second half of the upcoming weekend.

An unsettled and warm week is in the offing for the Tennessee Valley with a daily chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures generally near the 80 degree mark. A frontal system will move across the area by tomorrow and hang around for a few days keeping the chance of rain at times and any thunderstorm can feature brief downpours.

Unseasonably cold weather for the next couple of days with accumulating snow of at least a few inches in the urban corridor and several inches are possible in the nearby higher elevation locations. A big change takes place in time for Easter Sunday with much milder conditions and afternoon highs near 60 degrees to close out the weekend. In fact, it turns even warmer next week with 70 degrees on the table for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

High pressure shifts offshore today and a warm front will lift through the area by tomorrow. As a result, temperatures will climb noticeably on Saturday likely reaching the 80-degree mark by afternoon as another frontal system approaches the area. This next front will stall to our south on Sunday and it’ll be a cooler day compared to Saturday by some 10-15 degrees, but still relatively mild to close out the weekend.
