7:00 AM | *Quieter weather today with plenty of sunshine and lower humidity...shower/storm threat returns on Wednesday*

Paul Dorian

After a volatile end to the holiday weekend, the weather today will be quieter with plenty of sunshine, lower humidity, and comfortably warm conditions as high pressure takes control. The next low pressure system to impact the region comes at mid-week raising the chance of showers and thunderstorms from Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday. Paul Dorian

A cold front grudgingly slid through the region yesterday and will stall just to our south by the early part of the weekend. Additional disturbances will ride along this stalled-out frontal boundary zone through the weekend bringing us the chance of showers and thunderstorms from time-to-time; however, there should be plenty of rain-free time as well so not at all a total washout. An unsettled weather pattern early next week with a deepening upper-level trough of low pressure will bring us a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, Memorial Day…some of the rain can be heavy, some of the storms can be strong-to-severe.
