7:00 AM | *Very warm stretch of weather for the Tennessee Valley*

Paul Dorian

The next several days will feature some very warm weather in northern Alabama and humidity will become a factor unlike much of the relatively dry weather we’ve experienced for much of the spring season so far. Our rain-free weather of recent days will continue through tomorrow, but the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase this weekend.

1:00 PM | *Severe weather threats continue…”sub-tropical” system to back towards east coast next week as strong ridging aloft forms over SE Canada*

Paul Dorian

An active weather pattern continues across the nation and the overall situation in the upper part of the atmosphere will take on a different twist later this weekend and next week. One of the reasons this pattern has been so active has been an on-going onslaught of colder-than-normal air masses from Canada into the US which adds to the possibility of severe weather outbreaks. The unsettled pattern will continue on Thursday as another cold front approaches from the west. A strong storm system will impact the region at the end of the week and this one will bring with it a severe weather threat.

7:00 AM | *Unsettled, warm weather pattern develops here this weekend and continues through much of next week*

Paul Dorian

A warming trend continues today and temperatures will reach 80 degrees and then push into the lower 80’s this weekend. A strong storm will form over the central Plains later today and its trailing cold front will bring unsettled here later tomorrow into Sunday with a renewed chance of showers and thunderstorms. The weather pattern will remain unsettled through much of next week as numerous systems will cross the country in a west-to-east fashion.
