Paul Dorian

Our stretch of dry weather in the Mid-Atlantic region has come to an end and it’ll be somewhat unsettled for the next several days. A weak cold front will try to push through the region today and it’ll result in some light rain at times this morning and also help to generate scattered PM showers and thunderstorms. The dominate player for the mid and late week will be a strong high pressure system to our northeast and this will result in onshore flow and a decent amount of low-level moisture in the area.

Paul Dorian

High pressure is in control as we begin the new work week, but the arrival of a weak frontal system will bring some clouds to the area tonight and Tuesday and perhaps a shower or two. Following the front, more high pressure will push into the Mid-Atlantic region and result in generally cool and dry weather for the mid and late week time periods. Paul Dorian

A cold front continues to push slowly to the east today through the Mid-Atlantic region and it is currently generating heavy downpours and strong-to-severe thunderstorms that extend from the Delmarva Peninsula-to-eastern Pennsylvania-to-central New York.
